It’s hard to believe but 2007 is already upon us!
We are all doing well. Isaac’s ear infection seems to be improving. Ben is doing wonderfully with his tube feeds and with small tastes of oral feeds. Jonny is still Jonny. Lawrence and Rhoda are still here, and Aliyah just returned from a hurricane relief trip to Mississippi, so yesterday we went shopping at Park City Mall in Lancaster PA.
At the mall, Isaac had some cotton candy flavored Dippin’ Dots ice cream and broke out in hives. He’d had it before with no problem, so I’m not sure what happened this time. I was in another store with Benjamin. Poor Mark went to the only pharmacy in the mall with Isaac who was lying on the floor, frantically scratching all over and crying and Jonny who was gleefully singing, “Baby baby Isaac! Isaac is a baby!” Jonny had his mall map taken away for that – by the time I arrived on the scene, he was screaming too! A dose of Benadryl quickly stopped Isaac’s itching, and Jonny eventually got over his rage, and then we all had a good time. Ben, of course, was an angel the entire time.
It was a fruitful shopping trip. I got some work clothes and Mark got a nice new leather jacket. We didn’t buy the boys anything; after all, Christmas was just a week ago!
Today we stayed at home and cooked turkey. Not a bad way to start the year.
